ABOUT

Hi! I'm Gabi Nunes. Born and raised in Brazil, half Portuguese and currently living in London, UK.

In 2014 I graduated in Technology in Gastronomy (focused on management) back home, where I dedicated some time to the practice of gastronomy and started a blog sharing recipes and information with the world.

Since a very young age I have a passion for music that I have developed throughout the years with lessons in guitar, piano and drums. In 2015, I rediscovered that passion after auditioning and being accepted at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where I achieved a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance (Guitar).

It was an intense year with a lot of learning and growing. Currently I play guitar for Rens Birgitta, with which I've done multiple performances across London and have been a semi-finalist in the Hotvox competition for the Isle of Man festival in 2020 (we all know what happened there!)

Always in search of knowledge, I like new challenges and as an analytical thinker I pick up information faster than most. That is why, when COVID-19 hit, I decided to improve on old skills and learn new ones and I continuously try to build on my competence. Whether it's in music, management, photography, programming, digital marketing or languages (besides native Portuguese and fluent English, I have intermediate Spanish and basic French and Dutch).

I am good at coming up with new ideas and am always looking to find a new angle, but also recognise the importance of combining this with tried and tested approaches.

I believe that life is composed of relationships, sounds, smells, images, tastes and intuitions. I find it necessary to learn all of these things in order to make life more meaningful.

In this space you will see my work and my passions, for music, photography, travel, games and gastronomy. Enjoy!
